Absolutely idyllic – you can reach the Alpseebad in just 15 minutes on foot from our resort, through the wood along the Alpsee. In a superb location next to the lake and surrounded by the very best Mother Nature has to offer, this is the perfect place to relax.
You can spend a quiet day here lying on the green meadow, playing in the crystal clear water or simply just refreshing yourself. The Alpseebad has a long walkway and an island to swim to. The whole thing is rounded off by a picnic basket full of treats that you can order from us.
The Alpseebad is open every day (in good weather) from 10 am to 7 pm.
The Schwansee is located in the immediate vicinity of our resort and has belonged together with the Alpsee to the landscape conservation area "Alpsee, Schwansee und Faulenbacher Tal" since 1956. Locals and tourists like to use it as a bathing lake in summer. Due to the strong shading by the surrounding mountains, the lake freezes faster in winter than many other lakes in the surrounding area and is therefore popular with skaters from near and far.
Get to know the Allgäuer Königswinkel in a relaxed way from the water. With a length of twelve kilometres and a width of up to three kilometres, the lake through which the Lech flows is Germany's largest reservoir and Bavaria's fifth largest lake. The Füssener Forggensee-Schifffahrt offers two regular round trips from 1 June to 15 October (depending on the dam height of the lake):
The small round trip with the MS Allgäu in the southern lake area lasts one hour. The big round trip with the MS Füssen lasts two hours and leads to the dam on the northern shore of the lake.
The further you get from the southern shore of the lake on one of the Forggensee ships, the more magnificent the panoramic view becomes of the mountains of the Allgäuer, Ammergauer, Lechtaler and Tannheimer Alps, of the royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau and of the Füssen town silhouette.
Every Allgäu guest should have experienced a trip on the picturesque Forggensee once.
